issues with blog

I have been having problems logging into the ol' blog so that is why there aren't as many updates as there should be. I have a new dream series of paintings that I will be listing on ebay shortly.

All of the artists on ebay have had their hits go way down over the summer. So please, support your favorite self-repesenting artist. It truly is a great way to buy great art and fabulous prices. Why buy a mass marketed print when you can get a real piece of art for the same cost.

I've been frantically working

I've been fratically working on getting my website up and fully functional. Its really been one step forward and two steps back. I get to the point where I'm almost done and whamo, I find something new I'd like to add.

I am also toying with the idea of getting a new camera. Most of my art has far more dept and tone than my current camera can show. I realized this this week when I had everyone that bought work from me lately all say the same thing. How wonderful my art looks in person and how the pictures really didn't do it justice. A new printer is also in the works, so hopefully I will be able to start selling limited edition prints in the near future.

New work for the week so far is only one new piece. I've added it to my store. I absolutely adore the combination of chocolate brown and pale pink. One of my childhood memories is of the brown irises in my mothers garden. I remember one mothers day picking them all to give to her as a present. So my mothers irises are my inspiration.

And the new work form last week which is up for auction and ending shortly. This painting really is the escence of my environmental background and is a melding of my art and my experience. I really love the depts of tone achieve in it.

creative spurt

I've had a creative spurt this moring which is always nice. This time it was thanks to my friend Maeve. Thank you! Anyhow, you should be seeing some really nice, big abstracts posted on ebay shortly. One is downright huge 18" by 36". WOW! I realized two things doing this. I like painting BIG and I need a bigger work space. Really REALLY need to get that basement finished!

Off to finish up the masterpieces.

As a side note, went to rocking canada day BBQ yesterday. Our friends always have great summer Q in honour of our great country. They invite all their band friends over (including some of the guys from Moist) and a bunch of drunk musicians sit and jam and eat flesh. My big disappointment this year that Kevey and I didn't have matching nail polish which we've managed to do by co-incidence in the past. Ah, well, there is always next year!
