For the love of wiener dogs
I LOVE wiener dogs. Opps, sorry, to other fans of the dacshund. My aunt had one when I was a child who was cute as a button but had a Linda Blair type personality. Still his beguiling ways captured my heart. I'm painting him in memoriam. DD was also inspired and I've also added her renditon of the beloved wiener dog! I must admit, I love her idea for the nose and the tail. I might have to copy her LOL
I am always amazed at myself when I paint. Sometimes I don't know where I'm going and just use that right side of my brain. Add things here and there and bingo, I end up with something like this. I quite honestly don't know how I do it.
This is my most recent work in progress. She will be auctioned off at some point if I can bear to part with her. She is kinda tweeking at my heart strings...
I love french girls names. Its in my blood. My all time favorite girls name is Manon. It doesn't work all that well in English I'm afraid but all my french friends will know it well.
So here you have, Manon on her wedding day. Not quite finshed but presentable....
DH had the idea of a thanksgiving them. THen with the urging of a friend on top of that, I came up with these folks. When I showed my friend, she said they looked just like the famous Publix Pilgrims which when when I saw what she was talking about, I agreed. So there you have it.
One day, while sitting in my kitchen having tea, I couldn`t help but liken my cookie cutter home to the Monopoly property of builder basic Baltic Avenue homes. Watch me transform builder basic to something worthy of Boardwalk or Park Place on a Baltic budget.
