more random thoughts

I'm tired and the kids are almost out of school. In a few days the beach will go insane. People everywhere. The calm before the storm. Canada day is July 1st and there are fireworks on the beach. My quite hood will explode with tens of thousands of people. Sheer caos but oh so much fun.

My basketball was stollen. It was wet and soggy and had sat outside through two winters totally ruined but none the less it stolen. Why would anybody want it?

If you have my nasty basket ball GIVE IT BACK!!!

random thoughts

Things that you might like to know about me but were afraid to ask:

My favorite colour is apple green.

I have a big smudge of aqua paint on my arm because I havne't had a bath in two days.

I detest flip flops yet seem to wear nothing else.

My son was born ON PURPOSE up stairs on my bedroom floor while we were chatting about Finding Nemo. And no, that isn't a nice roast beef in my freezer....

I learned to drive on/in an orange car and think everyone needs to have at least one orange car in their life - I used to joke that, unlike everyone else who drove a lemon, I bucked the trend and drove an orange.

I can type at a freakish 90 words per minute and could go head to head with Mrs Adams my grade 8 typing teacher if she wasn't dead.

Fed my mother canned dog food as a joke when I was 9 and won't let my own kids touch my food.

I am the only adult to confess to their kids that they too HATE to eat anything GREEN.

not that this will help my art

Not that this will help sell my art but I've had a really crappy day. I've found out that my mothers best friend dropped dead on my mothers birthday. I'm afriad it will open a big can of worms with my mother who battles depression in a bad kind of way. Its gotten me way down too. June was such a nice lady.

The boy has started to paint! I'll post his work when he's done. He's so excited its funny. Who knows, maybe he'll be the next famous child prodgee? I guess that wouldn't be so good beacuse I'd be the pushy stage mother by default. Not that I'm anything like that. NOOOOoooooo

This is one of my current ebay auctions. I just love this one. I think the picture doesn't do it justice. My friend said she liked it better the lengthwise and I think that is just the beauty of it, that it works either way.

I changed my ebay ID

Well f0lks, I finally did it. I changed by ebay ID. I am now kewbeachgallery*com. I'm trying to enhance my corporate image and moomoosmom didnt do that at all. Big brave step for me but its got to be done if I'm going to have any success at this at all.

On anther note, my gifted 9 year old has decided he wants to paint. He is absolutely brilliant and I'm going to post a few of his works shortly. I'm trying to teach him a lesson about money. He wants so many things and I keep telling him that he needs to have a plan of how he will make money before he has a plan to buy. So in the car tonight, he drew a wicked picture which he plans on painting. His works are very Picasso like so it otta be interesting. We've always joked that he was Dali reincarnated because he was facniated with Dali at 13 months and would stare at a print we have and just say Dali over and over again (hey, he is a genius after all). But alas, it looks like I have Pablo Picasso to raise.

So please, when you see his work posted, please bid, it will make his day!

another new painting

I have yet another new painting. I'm inspired by quilting for this series of paintings. I love old quilts and the way the colours are woven together. I will be having a bunch of new work up this week.

The payback of sick kids

Having the kids sick and sucky isn't such a bad thing. I've managed to sit here almost all day and sift through tonnes of photographs. I'll be having more up on ebay shortly. Here is just a sampling.

.

I've also been painting and have some new stuff that I'll be putting up soon too. Mostly abstracts so you can look forward to some nice things.

Paying the price

I'm paying the price for a nice european vacation. I have two kids that are miserable. One looks like chickenpox despite being vacinated and the other is teething 4 big nasty teeth all at once.

I'm exhausted and despirate to get back on the creative flow again.

I'm BACK

We went to Europe and I'm freshly inspired. I took hundreds upon hundreds of photos and have many years of painting inspiration from them.

Spring in Paris is just the loveliest and the English country side is just beyond breathtaking!

This is one of my favorite photos.
